What better way to celebrate National Chocolate Chip Day than by putting a healthy twist on a classic cookie?  Surprise your girlfriends with these lightened-up Yogurt Chocolate Chip Cookies that pair perfectly with a glass of Skinnygirl™ California Red Wine and get ready for a guilt-free girls’ night in!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp. unsalted light butter
  • 1 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 large egg whites
  • 1 3/4 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a medium bowl, cream yogurt, butter and sugar together. Add vanilla, salt and egg whites, mixing thoroughly to combine. In a small bowl, mix flour and baking soda. Stir into batter. Add chocolate chips to batter and stir evenly to distribute throughout. Using a tablespoon, measure out 24 individual balls of dough and spread out on a large baking sheet. Bake until golden around edges, about 6 to 8 minutes.  Cool on a wire rack and enjoy!
